Hamas attacked Israel and started a war

  On Oct 7, 2023 Hamas attacked Israel. Soon thereafter Israel went after the leaders of Hamas. A Hamas leader says they did not underestimate Israel’s response. They got exactly what they were hoping for. Years ago, whenever Arab leaders met with leaders from Israel the Palestinian cause was always a major topic of conversation. Arab leaders required Israel to do something to benefit the cause of the Palestinian people. But in recent years this has not happened. Arab leaders would meet with Israel to improve their relationship and/or to discuss ways they could help one another, but nothing was done to benefit the Palestinian people. Hamas decided that the Palestinian cause needed to get put back on the table and decided that starting a war with Israel would be a way of accomplishing this. Since so many people have died in this war, people all around the world are talking about Israel and the Palestinian people. What will happen in the coming days and weeks?

What did it cost you to follow Messiah Jesus?

  Was it the beer or Jesus? This Thursday I'll be sharing (at an Assisted Living Facility) how I discovered that Yeshua (Jesus) is the Jewish Messiah and God who became flesh to live with us here on earth (John 1:14). Being Jewish, I knew it would cost me a lot in my relationship with family and some friends. It did happen, but what I received instead has been well worth it. And, over time, God has done much to rebuild those relationships. What did it cost you when you began to follow Messiah Yeshua? Youth Camp Our son Caleb asked Vinu and I to work at Youth Camp for him in July. We accepted his request and will have the opportunity to work for our son. Torah is a Treasure

  I just created my latest presentation, “ Torah is a Treasure .” God’s Torah (Instructions from Genesis – Revelation) is one of the greatest treasures you’ll ever discover. Just like a chest full of gold and diamonds we need to hold on to and keep God’s Torah as something very precious. I look at tefillin, mezuzah and tzit-tzit, and share how these things (which come from the Holy Scriptures) help us to remember God’s commands so that we may live by them. In this presentation I also share some ways people express their love for God’s Torah or Instructions. Eastern Gate is a treasure

What do you treasure? (Ezekiel 43:1-2, 4) Then he led me to the gate, the gate facing east; and behold, the glory of the God of Israel was coming from the way of the east. … And the glory of the Lord entered the house by way of the gate facing east. Ezekiel tells us that the glory of God left the Temple (chapter 10), but now he speaks of another day when the glory of God will return to the Temple. When this happens, the glory of God will enter through the Eastern Gate. I read that the Eastern Gate provided the most direct access to enter the Jerusalem Temple. In the past, Jewish people would pray near this gate so they could be as close as possible to the holiest site. Why is this Gate, and the Temple itself so holy?   It is set apart and distinct from all other things or places because God chose the Temple to be His earthly home. (Psalm 132:13-14) For the Lord has chosen Jerusalem; He has desired it for His home. “This is My resting place forever,” He said. “I will live here,
