God calls Jeremiah to be a prophet to the nations; before he was born. Jeremiah tells God that he is only a boy and that he cannot speak. God’s not interested in his excuses. When we apply for a job, we usually have to hand in a resume to show our prospective employer that we have the experience, skills and knowledge necessary to do the job.
It’s different with God. He calls us before we’re even born. This means He calls us before we have any experience, skills or knowledge. Like Jeremiah God tells us we simply need to be willing. He will enable and empower us to do whatever He calls us to do.
Gita and Reva are actively preparing for Cross Country and JROTC. Ravi has been accepted to take classes this Fall Semester at USF in Tampa. Asha will fly out of Syracuse tonight at 5:00 PM where she will meet her friend Elisa in Israel. I (Ron) am contacting pastors about leading a teaching tour of the “Treasures of Jerusalem.” Most people won’t be able to go to Jerusalem, so I am bringing Jerusalem to people in the US. Please pray for God’s favor as I contact pastors.

(Numbers 29:1) ‘Now in the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall also have a holy convocation; you shall do no laborious work. It will be to you a day for blowing horns יוֹם תְּרוּעָה. -God tells us to come together, blow horns and make some noise. (Leviticus 23:23-25) Again the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘In the seventh month on the first of the month you shall have a rest, a reminder by blowing of horns, a holy convocation. You shall not do any laborious work, but you shall present an offering by fire to the Lord.’” -Reminder of blowing of horns - זִכְרוֹן תְּרוּעָה (TLB) … it is a time of remembrance, and is to be announced by loud blowing of trumpets. -God calls us to blow horns and this is to announce something He wants us to remember. What is it that God wants us to remember? (Rosh Hashanah Prayer) … May it (the shofar) direct our thoughts to [cause us to remember] the day when
On Nov. 20, 1976 I chanted these words at Temple of Israel in Rockaway Beach, NY. And by participating in this Rite of Passage I also took another step forward in my journey of becoming a man. Tuesday night at 8:00 PM I will share a short teaching on Facebook Live. Join me at https://www.facebook.com/groups/TorahForLife/ Rabbi Ron Speaks June 22 – Shoresh David, Tampa, FL One young lady who saw a recent video of mine contacted me this week. She has been very discouraged and reached out searching for hope. I received another phone call from a man who is trying to reach out to a Jewish co-worker. He asked me questions so he can better share with this person. Please pray that God uses my videos to touch people, and that He uses me to equip people to share with Jewish people. I have 5 speaking engagements scheduled in NY during my July visit. I’m still checking into 3 more. If you know of a congregation
